Transformers: War for Cybertron

I am not a massive Transformers fan, and I have never played any of the games, but the previews really make this seem like a game worth checking out.

Troubadour and Wenches

Soce, the elemental wizard, rhyming it very old-skool… Worth listening to.

This has to be one of the cutest things ever: Schnappi

This is a short intro sequence that I found while surfing Youtube with my daughter. Schnappi das kleine Krokodil is a German cartoon character, and I have never seen the show (I don’t even speak German), but this is just beyond cute!

Adjustment Bureau Trailer, and Phillip K. Dick Inaccuracies

I have to admit that I am not a big Matt Damon (there is no real reason for this… its just an irrational dislike, I actually enjoyed several of his movies) fan, but I am a Phillip K. Dick fan, and have managed to watch every single movie based on his stories, and generally enjoyed them. This looks like another movie that I should add on my to watch list, although it does not seem to offer anything new, but I nice does of Dickian weirdness is always welcome.

Here is the officiaa description:

Do we control our destiny, or do unseen forces manipulate us? Matt Damon stars in the thriller The Adjustment Bureau as a man who glimpses the future Fate has planned for him and realizes he wants something else. To get it, he must pursue the only woman he’s ever loved across, under and through the streets of modern-day New York.
On the brink of winning a seat in the U.S. Senate, ambitious politician David Norris (Damon) meets beautiful contemporary ballet dancer Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt)—a woman like none he’s ever known. But just as he realizes he’s falling for her, mysterious men conspire to keep the two apart.

David learns he is up against the agents of Fate itself—the men of The Adjustment Bureau—who will do everything in their considerable power to prevent David and Elise from being together. In the face of overwhelming odds, he must either let her go and accept a predetermined path … or risk everything to defy Fate and be with her.

The Adjustment Bureau is written for the screen and directed by George Nolfi (writer of Ocean’s Twelve, co-writer of The Bourne Ultimatum). It is based on a short story by Philip K. Dick (“Total Recall,” “Minority Report” and “Blade Runner”).

It seems that they did not even bother to research Phillip K. Dick’s work…. He did not write Blade Runner, but rather Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, which Blade Runner was based on…. And the story that Total Recall was based on? We can Remember it for you Wholesale. Am I too much of a geek to notice this?

Well, here is the trailer:

Lucky Luke Movie

This is the official trailer for an upcoming Lucky Luke movie. I used to love reading the comics when I was younger. The trailer looks very different from what I remember from the comics, and my French is not good enough to understand it, but I am looking forward to the movie nevertheless.

Jonah Hex trailer

I have never read the original DC Comic, Jonah Hex, but this trailer looks like it could be an entertainingly mindless movie.

Back In Black: Call of Duty: Black Ops | Rock, Paper, Shotgun

I never really got into the Call of Duty Games, but this Call of Duty: Black Ops Trailer might convince me to give them a shot.

Black Death

Another interesting looking film, this one focusing on the time of plague in Europe, as a group of Men at Arms are sent to investigate a village that is immune to the plague… For those of you that have not had enough of Sean Bean running around in a suit of armour from Lord of the Rings, this looks perfect, although it promises to be a much darker tale.

Damned by Dawn – Watch out! It’s a Banshee « Live for Films

This looks like an interesting Australian movie… For one thing, I think that Banshees are sadly neglected mythological beasties in modern times
